Meet the Cycle II Design Services Program Awardee

Cycle II of our Design Services Program is underway, and we are excited to share our partnership with Principle Barbers in North Lawndale. This community barbershop goes beyond haircuts by providing a place for the North Lawndale community to connect through creative events, live music, and meetings.  Working alongside founder Bobby Price, Design Trust Chicago is developing and designing an outdoor entertainment space that engages residents and restores access to creative expression.

To kick off this impactful project, we hosted a Community Visioning Workshop to gather input from residents on what they’d like to see in the new space.  We look forward to working with Bobby and the greater North Lawndale community to create a meaningful and memorable space to be used for years to come.
