DSP Cycle III Awardee: NDoula Community Alliance
Meet the final Cycle III Awardee of our Design Services Program, NDoula Community Alliance (NDCA)!
NDoula Community Alliance (NDCA) is a community building organization aimed at addressing quality of life gaps within Chicago’s marginalized communities by increasing access to patient-centered, equitable, integrative healthcare. NDCA’s programs and initiatives are centered around addressing the Black Maternal Health Crisis by collaborating with health systems to increase health equity and academic spaces to inform professional standards of health equity, leading workshops on advancing reproductive justice, participating in culturally-responsive and community-based participatory research and evaluation, and exploring ways to use collaborative arts to foster healing justice.
We are currently working alongside NDCA to co-create a vision for a Resilience Center focused on overall health equity, education, and a supportive community. The Center will provide community health services, perinatal care and education, birthwork, and a naturopathic care center.
We are thrilled to be working alongside NDCA to support its mission of benefiting overall health equity and the black maternal health crisis.
